The dummy lineup worked which is pure luck. I picked two pitchers I knew were adequate and filled the remaining lineup according to the remaining budget line. Unfortunately, I checked the lineup two minutes after the official start time, due to work. At the time, six of my ten players weren't playing. My pitchers were playing, so six batters needed fixed. Again, unfortunately, it was too late for two of those and I only had 3 minutes to replace another, so *zap*, I replaced that one and saved the lineup. Then I replaced the three remaining players according to their start time, all on the fly. So, I entered this single lineup in the three above contests with only eight of ten players playing. And doubling my money with that lineup as pure luck, but it does show the potential of having a dummy lineup. I'll take it.

I did some quickie research for the afternoon lineup and clearly it was an epic fail. I am researching ways to improve my quickie research.

(at least I accompanied by about 400 other boneheads)
Many of my contest entry decisions are based around chasing bonus crowns on DraftKings. Throughout the MLB season, I will probably earn somewhere near 35,000 crowns playing these piddly contests as I do, with the big one coming at the end, a 25,000 crown bonus for playing each day of the MLB season. The crowns only add up to about a $60 bonus in free ticket purchases, but the 25K in lump form will bump me to the diamond level and add another $70 value (my current level is Gold which is worth about $10). Today is a perfect example. The DU occurs before 1730 ET and the T occurs after 1730 ET giving me credit for a double header, 24 more of which is worth 1100 crowns($2). Chasing the crowns.
Also listed is the bonehead PGA mishap from Thursday that prompted the dummy lineup rule.

Four of the entries into the 25¢ tournament were by earned tickets, so I stayed within the budget. A down day after two ups, but a late winner none the less.

Another bonehead maneuver causes another rule: Dummy lineups always; no more blank entries. I spaced this weekend's PGA entry, one that I had reserved yesterday. Five bucks down the tubes.
On an upbeat note, I made money today. I'm doing a lot of testing regarding stats and also figuring out the myriad ways to use my lineup maker. I used a setting for the twenty entries into the Dime, another for the DU, and yet another for the Showdown. I'm considering how to annotate that Dime entry so I don't have tons of unnecessary lines.
Lastly, I didn't use all of yesterday's budget, so I added it to today's budget, then exceeded it by one. I know that exceeding the budget is not good, but am considering, if it's not common practice, whether equalizing the budget the following day is best practice after budget mismanagement.
